I’m Ryan, I run this shop and this is a side hustle. I run this out of my barn / studio where I do other things like painting, photography, woodworking, build model kits, and play games.
I source my rugs from the New England area, I usually find the rugs off the beaten path. My inventory is pretty fluid, depending on how the hunting goes. I don’t have a storefront but I do show rugs by appointment, so if you have something you want to get a better look at one send me a message through Instagram or email.
I’m located in Western Massachusetts 15 minutes South East of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst campus.
I’ve been around handwoven oriental rugs since I was young. As a kid, I would help my father in his side hustle buying, selling, and cleaning oriental rugs. At the time, I can say with absolute confidence “I had no interest in rugs.” To me, they represented something really big and heavy. As I grew older I started appreciating the rugs as an art form and soon I started buying and hunting for rugs.
Eventually, this became a habit.
